CONTRIBUTOR GUIDE

Contribute where you can be useful

Projects may need subject knowledge, public-source research, design, writing, engineering, review, or long-term maintenance. No GitHub experience is required to get started.

  1. 01
    Choose a documented problem

Start with a live GitHub-backed project and read its source, risk, and maintenance requirements.

  2. 02
    Confirm the information boundary

Use public, non-sensitive information only. Do not bring internal screenshots, data, credentials, or operational details.

  3. 03
    Join through the project issue

Introduce the specific role you can fill and coordinate publicly with the project team.

  4. 04
    Review, release, and maintain

Executable work requires review. A release needs named maintenance ownership and a review cadence.
